We welcome the growing number of investments being made by Bangladeshi RMG companies in making factories more environmentally friendly.
The Ginat Group’s latest venture includes state-of-the-art environmentally friendly energy-saving and water-saving technolgies as part of a new fully vertically integrated composite knit unit designed to produce 25 tonnes of fabrics a day.
It is encouraging to see this investment which will reduce carbon emissions as well as saving water being supported by Spain’s Zara-Inditex, one of the world’s largest apparel retailers, with the help of the IFC backed Partnership Agreement on Cleaner Textiles (PACT) program.
